2026 Loddon Healthy Minds Network Art Competition

The Loddon Healthy Minds Network Art Competition is on again this year. This Annual competition is run in an effort to continue to raise awareness of mental health within the Loddon community.

Eligibility

The competition is open to all residents of the Loddon Shire Council, students attending schools in the Loddon region including home schooling students and residents under 18 who have either left school or are attending school outside of the Loddon Shire area.

All entries under the age of 18 must be accompanied with a signed parental/guardian entry form and be received at the Loddon Shire Council office, 41 High Street, Wedderburn, Vic, 3518 no later than 4pm 6 July 2026 as per our guidelines.

  • The artwork must be in line with the theme for each section and is open to entries from Loddon Shire residents
  • Section age groups:
    • The open section of this section is open to all Loddon Shire residents aged over 18 years, or residents under 18 who have either left school or are attending school outside of the Loddon Shire area.
    • Upper secondary section for those in Yr 9 to Yr 12 attending secondary school within the Loddon Shire region.
    • Middle school section for those in Grade 5 to Yr 8 attending school within the Loddon Shire region.
    • Junior sections: for those from Grade Prep to Grade 2 and Grade 3 to Grade 4, attending school within the Loddon Shire region and must use our supplied A4 colouring posters 

Themes for this year are as follows.

Themes: Open section & Senior students in Year 9 to 12:

1. “Value your mind “ 

                      or

2. “Turn off Your Tech”

Themes: Middle school students Grade 5 to Year 8:

1. “Don't judge me” 

                        or

2. “Yesterday is History”

Theme: Junior students Grades 3 to 4:

“ Love your mind, get Into Nature”

A4 colouring poster will be supplied to all Loddon schools and is available to download HERE

Theme: Junior students grades Prep to 2: 

“Believe You Can”

A4 colouring poster will be supplied to all Loddon schools and is available to download HERE

The art themes challenge entrants to explore why mental health is important to everyone, and looking at their own mental health.
