2022 Art Competition
In an effort to continue to raise awareness of mental health within the Loddon community, the Loddon Healthy Minds Network has conducted their art competition again in 2022.
We received 136 eligible entries across eight schools in the Loddon region, ranging from Grade Prep to Year 12, our largest amount of entries since the competition begun.

I want to show how one side of a person can be fine and everything is okay but then this person has a blue shadowy side to a person where they aren’t really okay and they actually have so much going on in their mind. 2022 Art Competition - School Entries
This year we had 8 schools with eligible entries as follows:
East Loddon P-12 - 16 entries in total from grades Prep to Grade 4
Inglewood Primary – 32 entries in total from grades prep to Grade 6
Pyramid Hill College – 44 entries in total from grades prep to year 8
St Marys Primary – 11 entries in total from grades 2 to grade 6
St Patricks Primary – 15 entries from grades prep to grade 6
Wedderburn P-12 – 3 entries from Year 11 and 12
Boort District School – 9 entries from years 9 and 10
Bridgewater Primary – 6 entries from grades Prep to grade 6
The category themes guided the entrants as they developed their entries. The themes were chosen to challenge entrants to explore why mental health is important to everyone, and ways to challenge mental health stigma.
Open Age section and Senior Students Yrs. 9 -12:

- Theme 2: “Tune into your mental wellbeing"
Middle School Students Grades. 5 - Yr 8:
- Theme 1: “Find the joy in the ordinary”
- Theme 2: “Thinking healthy thoughts”
Junior Students Grades 3 & 4: Colouring competition – poster provided to the regions schools

Junior Students Grades Prep - 2: Colouring competition – poster provided to the regions schools

For entrants in the Middle School Grades 5 – Yr. 8 section and the Senior Yrs. 9 – 12 section, the artwork can be in any medium, and may include painting, photography or sculpture, but the use of other techniques is also welcome and encouraged.
Judging:
Independant judging is now finalised with the all judges decisions being final.
All school entries will be returned to the schools along with the prizes to be presented to students at the school assembly.
