During 2013, the Loddon Healthy Minds Network once again ran their art competition in the schools throughout the Shire.  The theme of the competition was, "Mental Health - Let's Talk About It."

As usual, the entries were of an extremely high standard and the winning entries have been displayed across the Shire in various locations. This affords the public the opportunity to both see the remarkable talent that exists in Loddon and also to reflect on the messages contained in the art work.

The winner of the Art Compettion was Kirsty Tonkin with her image entitled "Speak Up and Be Heard". Kirsty commented further that,  "If you don't talk, you can be hurt, your world dulll. When you talk, you can solve your problems, get them off your chest by talking to a friend or someone you trust".

Second prize went to Megan Thompson with her image entitled "Talk". Megan's comments on her piece fo art said that, "A girl that keeps bottling her emotions in and she's finally exploded. She had no-one ever to talk to."

An exceptionally good well done to all entrants who went to great lengths to produce excellent art work. Congratulations to both Kirsty and Megan as the winners of the competition.
